My sister, Maureen, was a hard act to follow through school and through life. She was extremely creative, excelling in crochet, tatting, lace-making, patchwork and dressmaking. She made fantastic wedding, birthday and anniversary cakes and was extremely modest when these were greatly admired. Maureen's warm smile always welcomed my family into her home and all our visits were happy ones. She showed us all how to bear prolonged ill health tolerantly and bravely. I never knew life without her and she is deeply missed. Thel xx
